Small Animals

We have a well equipped and modern small animal hospital that can provide a broad range of medical and surgical treatments. These include


 

Large Animals

We provide a full on-farm service for all farm species including horses, cattle, sheep, goats, donkeys and alpacas.

We can assist with hendra vaccinations, diagnosis and treatment of illness and lameness, birthing problems and dentistry.

Please note that if you need us to see your horse we may not be able to provide services unless it is hendra vaccinated.


 

Puppy Preschool

We have the only puppy preschool in the region that is run by a veterinarian. Also our instructor has over 25 years of experience in puppy prechool and veterinary behaviour.

Our classes are limited to a maximum of eight puppies and run for four weeks. They are held on Wednesday nights from 6pm until 7-7.30pm and we usually start a new class every 4 weeks.

The classes focus on teaching owners and puppies the skills needed to ensure that the puppies grow into good canine citizens. They are very hands on and concentrate on a combination of socialisation and training.

All family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.


 

Exotics

We provide medicine and surgical services to all animals including more unusual pets such as ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and birds.

Some exotic pets require more specialised care so if you have an unusual pet that needs attention feel free to call us and we will let you know if we have a staff member with the relevant experience and knowledge. If we do not we will happily provide you with referral to an appropriate veterinarian.
